Prototype 43

Prototype 43:
Like in the video of prototype 42 is quoted , its hard to walk on one. So we took her second favourite envelope prototype 29 and combined it with the other filling from prototype 35. Here we didn't use extra filling on top of that.

Elements of experience:
Positive expected: its better with less filling on top
Positive unexpected:
Negative expected:  a little bit off filling is needed
Negative unexpected:

Prototype 44

Prototype 44:
The combination of prototype 43 is again used here with the difference that the filling on top of the envelope(the part that doesn't touch the ground) is from prototype 12

Elements of experience:
Positive expected:
Positive unexpected:
Negative expected: filling becomes thinner every time it is used
Negative unexpected: there is a movement of the filling

Prototype 35

Prototype 35:
Here we test the first kind of filling. Here she made a shape in the foam by pressing down onto it with her knee. This way we knew the points where the pressure is highest. Here we just cut a hole around it, the next prototypes are going to test if making a whole in the place where the knee comes is better

Elements of experience:
Positive expected: sits good
Positive unexpected: not to hard
Negative expected:
Negative unexpected: the PU compresses and becomes thinner after a while

Results from testing on 21/03

For the bandage locking the order from bad to good is:

  • basic velcro stips
  • velcro strips where one end in bigger that the other
  • velcro strips sewed together and pult though a hole
  • bra closing
The next steps on the envelop are going to be on the fabric that touches the ground and the skin. These prototypes will be made in pairs, one with the velcro strips sewed together and one with the bra closing.

For the filling the order from bad to good is:
  • PU with fabric, with the fabric on top (prototype 41)
  • rubber band with filling( prototype 39)
  • foam with sizes from feline with hole (prototype 36)
  • foam with size from Timothy with hole and filled whole( prototype 37 & 38)
  • PU with fabric, with the fabric on the ground (prototype 40)
  • foam without the whole in it (prototype 35)

de banden worden bevestigd met bh haakjes (bovenste band)

Elements of experience:
Positive expected:minder voelbaar
Positive unexpected: goeie locatie aan de zijkant, makkelijk te bereiken
Negative expected:
Negative unexpected:
door verslechterende motoriek kan dit wel moeilijker worden in latere stadia van MS

comparing filling

We asked to put the filling in the order she liked best.

This was a difficult question but it was clear that de silicone and the donut shapes had the most succes. She asked for combine these two (prototype 5 and 19).
1) silicone prototype5 (not the hard shell)
2) donuts prototype 19
3) sponge prototype15
the mousse was the least favorite

Comparing the connections

Here we asked to put the three different ways of connection in the order she likes best.
From left to right the best until the least favorite.
